dc.description | Remarks : Saiyad Sornarqandi Shamsuddin had writte n a book entitled 'Ashka lut Tasis'. This book is the Sharah of the same. it is dedicated to Mu~ -ul Haqq ad-Duniya wa ad-Deen Ulugh beg ibne Shahrukh ibnc Taimur Gargan. Shareh has pre ferred tbe theory of Euclid. it is said that one of the king of Greece want ed to in troduce this science. People suggested him the name of Euclid, then he wrote the book about the same that became weJlknown with the name of EucJidus. it is the only book which is known with this name. Then the book was translated in Arabic. Two translati ons are known 10 us, one is of 'Sabit' and the second one is of 'Hajjaj'. Thereafter in medieval period this sc ience progressed. According to Shareh, even famou s Muhaqqiq Nasiruddin Tusi has also contributed a book on th is subj ect. | - |
